About Me

My name is Rebecca and I am a stay at home mom to 5 little kids. My kids are 6, 5, 4, 2, and newborn. I homeschool my kids during the day and sew at night. With my husband on paternity leave right now I have a unique opportunity to work part time and I am loving every minute of it!

Spooner Sisters Designs was an idea that originated over many cups of coffee together with my sister-in-law Sonia. After mutually deciding that we wanted to design a line of products for mom and baby that would be practical and stylish at the same time, we set out to buy some fancy sewing machines and got to work!

We spent the first year building our business together and establishing our brand. After we both got pregnant, life threw a bit of a curve ball and Sonia and her family moved up north to Dawson Creek. We are looking forward to Sonia starting up a northern division of SSD to cater to our customers in the upper reaches of BC. Until then, I have taken over business operations and am super excited to see what custom creations you and I can make together!
